Reviews of Northwest Airlines.Northwest Airlines Summary Northwest Airlines is the 4th largest air company in the world that provides about 1.500 flights to 750 places all over the world. Its fleet is composed of about 400 aircraft and hubs at Minneapolis, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Detroit. It also employs about 40.000 people all over the world. Check-in times Boarding passes may be got online or by means of self-service check-in kiosk. On international flights one must check-in an hour before the departure, on domestic flights- half an hour prior to the flight. As for Las Vegas, passengers will need an hour, Denver, Tampa, Washington D.C-Dulles, Atlanta- 45 minutes. Baggage allowance One piece of hand luggage (45 linear inches, 40lbs at most) and a personal item (a purse, a laptop, etc.) are allowed on board a plane. Anything fragile may be taken into the passenger’s cabin for a price of an adult fare. On domestic flights 2 checked bags (linear inches, 50lbs each at most) are allowed. On international flights that originate in the USA passengers are allowed to have 3 pieces of luggage (62 linear inches, 70lbs each at most). Overweight, oversized, excess luggage is charged for. The number of animals traveling on the same plane is limited and they may not fly if the temperature during the flight is above 85 F and 75 F for snub-nosed animals. If a pet is flying as a hand luggage, a $80 fee is required for a cage. A kennel shouldn’t weigh more than 20lbs and contain more than 1 adult animal.
